By wholly updating the Manufacture Rolex Caliber that powers it and by replacing its style of bracelet, the GMT-Master II “Batman” — as it is lovingly called among enthusiasts for its black and blue color scheme — has been fundamentally renewed for 2019.
The GMT-Master II ranks among the numerous iconic and inimitable Rolex watch collections. Originally launched in 1955 and updated to its second generation variant in 1982, the Rolex Oyster Perpetual GMT-Master has been the go-to, all-capable watch of globetrotters for over 60 years.

Its traveler-friendly functionality stems from its ability to render two time zones simultaneously legible by combining the traditional triple main indications of hours, minutes and seconds, with the addition of a fourth center-mounted 24-hour hand that is independently adjustable. This 24-hour hand points at the 24-hour graduated Cerachrom ceramic bezel insert, allowing for easy reading of time in an alternative time zone — or one’s home time when traveling!
